Today, I had to make the decision of putting my darling Molly to sleep. An infection had set into her leg that would have required amputation. I was with her until the end.
Oh, Tamar, I am so sorry. I’ve missed a couple of days and just found out this morning about Molly. I’ve had to make that decision thrice in my life, and each time it is the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. But take solace and peace in the knowledge that it is the right thing to do … for them.
Rest easy, my friend…
I’m so sorry Tamar. Molly is at peace, and your love right along side of her always.
Goodbye sweet Molly, furry one.
Though your days on earth are done;
Don’t forget where you may roam;
Tamar’s heart is always home.

Sending a hug from the deep south…
Dear all of you,
Just to let you know that Tom is back from Australia, and, yesterday afternoon came home from work especially to be with me.
Your comments are soothing and comforting to my deep sense of loss. Thank you all, so very much. I appreciate your kindness more than you can imagine.
Tamar, oh. I’m sorry I didn’t know this, to think of you last night. Many, many transatlantic hugs to you. I’m so very sorry – and that you were at home on your own with this.
Not easy when there is love, but she would have suffered too much… blessings and hugs. When I had my Siamese cat who was 12 and had cancer and too many operations put down the I grieved a long time. These are special relationships.
Oh, Tamar, I’m very sorry to hear this. It’s got to be the most difficult kind of decision to have to carry out. My heart goes out to you, and Molly too.
Dear Tamar, I am so sorry. That is such a difficult decision to be called on to make. Farewell beautiful Molly. Thinking of you tonight Tamar, and will light a candle for you both. Take care of yourself.
Oh Tamar, I am so very sorry. Just know that you did your very best. She was very fortunate indeed that you came into her life, and I know from your posts that you felt blessed by her.
These memories won’t die …
Tamar: Few things in life hurt as much as losing a four-legged soulmate. My heart goes out to you. May the two of you meet again someday.
Thanks so much for these kind words, Winston. Much appreciated.

Tamar:
I was sorry to read about the loss of your Molly. Pets become parts of families and it’s hard to let them go.
